We are in the middle of spring here in Sydney - warm sunny days, flowers and the promise of Summer. I made my daughter a Summery version of the Georgia’s High Low Peplum and Dress from The Simple Life Pattern Company. It’s perfect for our weather. Zoe is in between size 5 and size 6 and I made her a size 6 so that it would fit all through Summer. I found the instructions great and easy to follow, and the pattern very true to size. This is a simple sew that a beginner should have no problems with, and a more advanced sewist would whip one up in no time. The pattern includes different sleeve lengths, making it perfect for whatever season you are experiencing in your part of the world.

I sewed up a size 8/10 mash Willow’s V Boho by Simple Life Pattern Co. in top length, long sleeves. The bodice is cotton lycra and the skirt is a simple (non-stretch) woven. This was a great pattern to mix and match the comfiness of knit fabric with the fun, playful designs typically found in wovens. The fully lined bodice allows for an extra layer of warmth in the cooler months. Plus, with no buttons, zippers or closures, children can dress themselves with ease.
