Free Taylor Skirt by My Childhood Treasures

We've been featuring dance and gymnastic patterns all week, and here's a sweet little ending to our week, a FREE pattern from My Childhood Treasures for your tiny dancer. Here's Sarah to share her version and a review of the free Taylor Skirt.

Hello there!  This is Sarah and I am here today with a review of the  FREE Taylor Tutu Dress from My Childhood Treasures.  My daughter is a pretty big fan of all things girly and dress up.  Since her dress up box is full of prior year dance costumes from both her and her sister, I was pretty sure this skirt would be a pretty big hit.  I was right (as we moms typically are!) because she LOVED it.  As soon as she saw it, she swooned over it and asked how I had made it so fast (it is a REALLY quick sew, but I told her it was because of my sewing super powers…) and said she could not wait to try it on.  I made the size 5 for her according to her measurements and it was a great fit.

I paired the tutu with the Jalie 2792 leotard pattern; they are a great pair.  However, since this tutu is fully lined, it could easily be paired with a tee-shirt and some cute boots for a funky everyday outfit.  I am certain this will be happening in our house!

This skirt is very cute and very easy.  It took about an hour from start to finish and has a lot of wow factor.  I wish it had had measurements for the rectangular pieces, but since there were only a few pieces to print and cut, that wasn’t a huge deal.  Overall, we loved the skirt and clearly my daughter feels like a beautiful dancer in it.  And what else can you ask for?

Until next time,

Sarah
