The Maddie Jumper by Violette Field Threads

Hooray It's back to school time! Parents are sending their little ones back to school about this time and I see lots of people saying tag teacher you're it! I for one was not ready for school to start. Seems like when we were children summer lasted forever now that we're adults time flies, right! Anywho, Violette Field Threads released a sweet vintage style back to school collection on 8.10.18  (part 2 coming 9.6.18) and I had to sew up the Maddie Jumper !

This piece out of the 1st release seemed so fun and such a versatile piece for any look as well as fitting for a uniform required school :).  The pattern comes in 2 lengths regular ( 2 inches above the knee) and layering ( 4 inches above the knee). Maddie has three pocket options: front center, kangaroo, and lower front pockets and three closure options, basic button, overall buckle and grommet with tie Bonus in the pattern it shows you how to do the buckle and the grommet :)! Sizes range from 2t to 16 tween and even has a doll size !

For my version I chose the regular length and added a ruffled long sleeve shirt. I loved how EASY AND FAST this pattern was! It was so fun to sew up. The longest time spent is doing the bias! Aside from being a quick sew and such a versatile piece Maddie’s aline silhouette stole my heart. It's the sweetest simple shape. Maddie would look fantastic with so many other VFT patterns you probably already have in your daughter’s closet! Just think, Matilda, Rosemary, Gemma, Hattie, Alexandria, Belle or even Pepper! Who doesn't love a pattern that can go with another to create a new fun look! WIN WIN~!

I've got my next one on the cutting table and will be making it a layering version with the Masie dress! I can't wait to see what you all create and share! NOW Let's get back in to our lady lair since the kids are back in school! :)

Creations await ~ Nacole
