Miss Mary Mack Tunic by Love Notions

You know you're singing it:

"Miss Mary Mack, Mack, Mack
All dressed in black, black, black
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons
All down her back, back, back..."

You get the idea. But guess what?! This knit tunic from Love Notions has no buttons! Read on to see what Carrie has to say about this easy, spring staple.

I recently had the pleasure of sewing up the Miss Mary Mack Tunic from Love Notions (affiliate link) and I’m so excited to share a little about it with you.  I knew when it was released I needed to try it out and I’m so glad I did.  The instructions are very clear and after getting the pattern taped, it was such a quick sew!

There are 2 different bodice options and 4 sleeve choices to mix and match, along with a great range of sizes!   I chose the curved bodice and flutter sleeve for this one.  You can also see how perfect it is for layering since its still a big chilly.  I have to say too, I LOVE the way the arm opening is finished on the flutter sleeve, its definitely a professional look but still so easy!

This is designed for knit fabrics but don’t be intimidated because its a great pattern for beginners.  It’s also a wonderful base pattern for you more experienced sewers to maybe add your own twist to, maybe some additional ruffles or fun embellishment.  The fabric I used here is from a custom fabric group called Sew Cute Fabrics.

I also decided to make matching leggings and used a FREE pattern (we all love free right??) also from Love Notions.  I’ve made 3 pairs now and my daughter as well as my friends daughter who modeled this set for me, have said they are the best leggings ever!  The are definitely a more snug fit but sew up beautifully and FAST!  I think what they loved the most was the soft yoga waist, I mean really, who wouldn’t?!

Special thank to Erin at Fuller Photography for the adorable model and photos.
