Little Lizard King Sew A Long Day 1

Yea, today's the day!!!

I'm so excited to have Liz King visiting our blog this week and sharing her gorgeous Fairy Flutter Dress pattern with us.  If you've never done a sew a long before, you are going to love it! It's like a long distance sewing party! Each day we will post your tasks to complete and all you have to do is sew a long with us. If you don't have the pattern yet, you can buy it HERE, use code "pattern revolution" for 40% off. Little Lizard King has their own Facebook Group, and I would encourage you to join and be a part of our little sewing support community, that way if you have any questions, your answers are just a post away! And guess what? A little birdie told me that there are going to be prizes! Here's the schedule for the week.

Day 1-   Pages 1-7

Day 2 - Pages 8-12

Day 3 - Pages 13-15

Day 4 - Pages 16-19

Day 5 - Grand Finale!

Get ready, Get set, Sew!

Welcome to the first day of Pattern Revolution's Sew-A-Long featuring the Little Lizard King Fairy Flutter Dress. We want to thank Robin for inviting us to participate. What fun!

We are super excited to have you on board the LLK/Pattern Revolution Sew-A-Long, and to show you how excited we are, Team Lizard is offering a free pattern at the end of this Sew-A-Long to three winners in three different categories.

1. Participant Favorite

2. Team LLK Favorite

3. Random drawing of each person who posts a photo of a completed project.

If you haven't yet purchased the pattern, it's not too late. Go to littlelizardking.com and use the coupon code pattern revolution for 40% off the Fairy Flutter Dress.

Once you have the pattern, gather your supplies, cut out all the pieces, and serge or zig zag the edges of the skirt.

When cutting the back bodice pieces, take note to place the fabric right sides together before cutting, to result in mirror image or inverse pieces.

To start, place the bodice lining pieces right sides together. Sew to attach at the shoulder, and press seams open. Repeat with the main fabric.

Place the flutter sleeves right sides together, and sew to attach. Flip right side out. Gather the straight edge of the flutter sleeves and set aside.

Hang tight! We'll continue the Fairy Flutter Sew-A-Long soon!
