Sew Ready for Fall: Patterns for Pirates Cocoon and Butterfly Cardigan

The leaves are falling here in Texas but the weather is staying pretty steady in the low 90s…fall is in sight, at least I keep telling myself this! Sewing for fall will only make it feel more fall, right? The perfect item to layer in the fall with is a cardigan! When it’s chilly in the morning but warms up in the afternoon, a cardigan is perfect, not to mention a mom & me version!

I never sew for myself but I’m hooked! I chose P4P Cocoon Cardigan, both in girls and ladies. With basic knit from Walmart and some scrap glitter HTV, I made matching cardigans for less than $10 total!

P4P’s patterns are easy to follow and this cardigan took no time at all to whip out. The pattern is true to size, I’m 5’8” and this tunic length almost covers the booty. There is an option with a longer band to cover it completely, a must have for fall leggings.

I love that I branched out to sew for myself this time and my daughter was head over heels to be twinsies with mom! Happy Fall Y’all!
