/We are continuing our Sewing for Easter series with a dress for mom! Having a special dress for Easter is always a treat to look forward to and mom should not be left out, so today Rebecca is sharing her Easter dress: The Mama Joy from Made for Mermaids.
Do you ever see a fabric and think “that is perfect for a specific pattern?” I do that all the time! Well, this time I did it in reverse. I saw the Mama Joy from Made for Mermaids and I knew it was perfect for my Easter dress. There are so many things I love about this dress. I don’t often wear dresses that hit at my natural waist, but this dress is extremely flattering and hits at exactly the perfect spot. Another aspect I love about this dress is the pockets! It’s amazing how excited my friends and I get over dresses that have pockets; it’s just so convenient. Another element that makes this dress perfect for Easter is it has cutlines for four different skirt lengths and three different sleeve lengths, so no matter your weather at Easter this dress would work!
