The Kyra Tank and Dress by Modkid

Hi! Rachel here with a quick review of the Kyra Tank and Dress from Modkid Patterns. It’s available in girls and tween sizes, and I sewed up the largest size (8/9) in the girls’ range for Miss P, who will be 9 this fall. The fit is spot on and this cute tank pattern has quickly become our most-used pattern of the summer. I’ve used the basic view for pajama tops or to show off panels like this cute star one from Vintage Lace Prints, and the macrame fringe option is unique and adorable.

The fact that it reminds me of being a kid at summer camp makes it even better! The dress option is a slim a-line extension of the tank, but since Miss P’s summer wardrobe is mainly separates I’ve been making tanks for her. This pineapple tank features Dear Stella knit fabric with a subtle stripe for the yoke. Both prints were purchased from the Peekaboo Fabric Shop. Miss P and I both love the fit of the Kyra Tank, and it’s a quick sew with great results. I’ll definitely be buying the tween sizes for next summer, too!
