Cinnamon Sugar Double Breasted Top or Dress by FooFoo Threads

Hi, This is Jo again from Lemon Drop Closet. I am so excited to share my second review for Pattern Revolution. I don’t know about you, but for me the cold weather months put a damper on my sewing groove. It can be kinda tough to think of a pattern that has long sleeves or one that looks good layered. Ultimately I like to sew up a top or dress that can be worn for all seasons to get a longer wear for my littles.  I think I have found a great versatile pattern for my winter pattern requests.

The newly released pattern by Foo Foo Threads titled Cinnamon Sugar Double Breasted Top or Dress is just that pattern.  It has a knit long sleeve option and a flutter sleeve. And yes, this dress with the flutter sleeve option looks great layered. Giving it the longevity to be worn in the warmer months. The knit long sleeve is great if you want to reduce the bulkiness of wearing an undershirt. I’m sure you could customize it  and add some rows of lace ruffles to it to get the same look as mine.  You can make it in a Top or Dress length and with or without ruffles around the neck and hemline.

I found the instructions to be precise and didn’t even have to use the seam ripper once. Woo-Hoo!!  Sizes range from 6-12 months -12 years old. I sewed up the 2T size on my 2 year old according to her measurements and the fit was perfect. Due to all the pretty hemline ruffles (and my kiddos) it did take me a few hours to complete.

If you're looking for a pants pattern to pair with it Foo Foo Threads has plenty. Woven ruffle pants to knit leggings.  The fabric I chose for my Cinnamon Sugar top came from Threads and Stitches. The pants I paired with my top is from Brownie Goose. My daughter has worn these for almost a year.  I’m hoping my Cinnamon Sugar top lasts that long also!!

Everything about Jo's Cinnamon Sugar is perfection. I think I need one for my daughter STAT!
