Tiffany Dress by My Childhood Treasures

Now that summer has arrived, a lot of us are looking for patterns that will help keep the kids cool. The Tiffany Dress by My Childhood Treasures is the perfect top or dress with its sleeveless construction and cute ruffles! Today, Lisa has a review of both the dress and the top versions.

HI!  It’s Lisa here today reviewing The Tiffany Dress and Top  by My Childhood Treasures.  This was the first time I’ve made anything by this pattern designer and I was super pleased. The way the instructions are organized and the clear pictures made it very easy to follow.  What do I mean by organized and clear pictures?  The background is a crisp white with no other distractions, the fabric examples and instructions are always in the same box, same size, and the same fabric is used throughout.  Because of this I was able to zip through the pattern with no questions.

The Tiffany Dress pattern also includes a top option.  Both have flutters that start at the waist and extend all the way to the back.  There are no zippers or buttonholes.  The back has a keyhole with button.  Sizes are from 2t to 10.
I sewed both the dress and the top.  For the dress I used a very lightweight gauze material in white.  White is not the easiest to photograph at least not for me, but I had this teal trim that I’ve been wanting to use so badly.  Gauze fabric is see through so I did line it which is not part of the pattern.

For the dress I sewed a size 3 and it was a little big in the arms.  I did a size 2 for the top with a 3 length and it fit much better in the arm, but was a little harder for her to get on and off.  I had to line the top as well and this time I modified the flutters.  I’m extremely happy with how it turned out and my daughter loved this version and asked for more like it.
