My daughter is 12, and developing into quite the young lady. She really isn't ready for women's patterns, but is far past the ruffles are cute phase. I am always on the lookout for patterns focused on tweens/teens. When this pattern popped up, I was so excited!

This is a quick pattern, it took my less than 2 hours from printing to finished, and that includes interruptions from the kids!  She gives clear directions and pictures for each step, I think this will be Jody's next sewing project! I love the options to mix and match fabrics, great for using up those larger scraps! For this one, she picked out a Riley Blake print & coordinates. I love the idea of simple lines!

Jody is right between sizes, so I went with the smaller size. I did notice it is a bit tight around her hips, so next time, I will size up. I also noticed some gapping in the front, and I believe it is due to where she is developed, so on my next one, I will probably add bust darts. Overall, I think this will be a pattern we get a lot of use out of!

Don't forget, you can get your copy today for 15% off with the code MONROE15 here! Happy sewing!
