Bella's Dress and Maxi from Simple Life Pattern Company

With Summer in full swing, a simple dress pattern with some detail can be the perfect staple! I love the look of this dress! I bet it will be adorable layered for fall and winter! Check out Jessica and Sarah's take on this dress from Simple Life Pattern Company!

Sometimes it takes a simple, straightforward dress with great techniques to make you fall in love with a pattern. It's Jessica, from Snickerdoodle Stew, and I'm here to tell you about Bella's Dress and Maxi from Simple Life Pattern Company. Don't let its simplicity fool you! It is a classic dress pattern with a great fit and some really nice details! This dress features 2 lengths, optional ruffle, 3 strap layouts, and tons of tips and tricks for adding embellishments. I added a pretty strip of fabric and trim down the center of the bodice to show off this amazing Parson Gray fabric from his Katagami collection. My 5 year old picked this out on her own and it's not her normal choice, but it's so lovely!

All of the strap options are lovely, but really, you MUST try the strappy back. It's so gorgeous and it gives Bella's Dress an extra dose of sophistication. I was a little nervous about the shorter length that I had seen on other models, but I think it ended up the perfect length for my petite girl. Thankfully this pattern gives finished lengths, so you can add or subtract as needed. I sewed up a pair of SLPCo. Chloe's Ruffled Capris just in case, and I seriously can't get over how adorable they are in lace.  Bella's Dress is an uncomplicated sew and can easily be added to your arsenal of "go-to" patterns.

Here, Sarah has shared her creation of the dress. I love the colors she chose!

I love the strap detail on this!
