Love Notions Pemberley Tunic

With Summer coming to an end, it is time to start looking for those Fall patterns. Since I am in California, that means I still have a few months of warmer weather, so this is a perfect transitional piece! Today, Paige shares her review and Denita shares her pictures of the Love Notions Pemberley Tunic!

I used the Pemberley Tunic and Dress pattern by Love Notions to make this top for my oldest daughter.  This pattern features an empire bodice and a shirt-tail hem.  The designer recommends using lightweight and flowy fabrics.  My daughter picked out a polka dot ITY knit for the top and stretch lace for the sleeves.  She is happy with her new wardrobe addition.

This pattern has several of my favorite things.  It has the layers feature which allows you to click and print only the selected size.  In addition, there are no trim pages.  This means no cutting of the pages is needed before assembling the pattern pieces.  I don’t know about you, but I just want to get right down to sewing my project so any time I can save in putting my pattern pieces together is a plus.  There is also a key which shows which pages need to be printed based on the design features you choose.  This is another time saver and prevents printing pages that won’t be used.  There is a clickable index on the side of each page which takes you to different sections without scrolling through pages.

This is a beginner level pattern which is easy to follow and quick to sew.   Sizes range from XS through XXXL.  Dress and tunic options are included along with 4 different sleeve choices.  You can also add tabs to the sleeves for a different and fun look.  The designer includes 2 bodice types for making this for the average or full bust sizes.  Additional instructions are provided for customizing the bodice based on your figure.  Color photos are included for inspiration.  I think this pattern would be appealing in all sizes and for different ages.

Happy Sewing!
