Molly Sweater by My Childhood Treasures

Hello there! I am here today with a review of the Molly Sweater by My Childhood Treasures.  My family and I are in preparations for weathering our first winter in OH after being in CA for the past 8 years, so I am always on the lookout for fun winter-friendly patterns.  As a plus, my daughter saw the cover photo for this pattern and asked me to make her one.  Who am I to say no to my budding fashionista when she requests a new momma made top?

The Molly Sweater is a pull over knit sweater with a cute crossover front with bias tape trim.  I used a polka dotted crochet edge bias to add a little touch of whimsy to my Molly Sweater.

This pattern was clearly written, well illustrated and easy to follow and sew. Because it is knit and has a knit neckband (which some people find difficult, but there are great instructions for sewing it) and bias trim, I would say this pattern is an adventurous beginner pattern, although it is a quick and easy pattern overall.  The sweater took me about an hour to cut out and sew.

My daughter really liked the sweater and I was happy to have a warm top for her to wear this winter.

Happy sewing!

Sarah
