Oh my goodness does it get any sweeter? I am absolutely in LOVE with the Swallow Tail pattern by Lil Luxe. The Swallow Tail dress and top pattern offers such a sweet and simple classic look with a back that is to die for.

This pattern is perfect for hot summer days and would be so cute in a soft vintage floral print or a solid. However, this pattern would look fabulous in any fabric combo you choose. I had so many visions for this pattern but was dying to make an everyday princess top with it. The fabric I used is all Kona cotton from Joanns.

The pattern offers three length options: top, dress and maxi. The shoulder flutter is optional as well, but boy oh boy is it a sweet combo with the back bow. The pattern itself was very simple and the construction was very smooth. The only part I found a little tricky was attaching the skirt with the elastic casing to the bodice. I love pictures and detailed instructions, so I could have used a little more guidance at this point, but it all still worked out smoothly and the end result is ah-mazing! Lil Luxe patterns are clear, concise and professional. I can’t wait to sew up more of these and I know it will be a customer favorite.
