If you ask anyone that makes bags, you know that they are a labor of love. All of the cutting and interfacing and small details that take your project from homemade to HANDMADE. Then there's the payoff- the copious amounts of drooling by friends, family, and random people on the street that really can't believe that you MADE your bag. Even the ladies at the dentist's office that practically turn your bag inside out because they just can't believe it.

I wouldn't say that I am 'scared' of bags and wallets; but I have certainly been put off by all the different interfacings, hardware, and of course the time consuming nature of many of them. But all of that has changed in the last month!!! With just the tiniest bit of education - particularly in how easy it is get hardware for each project - I have suddenly been on a bag making spree. And by 'spree', I mean 1 backpack, 1 wallet, and the Necessary Clutch Wallet...but hey, it is a start!
