Beanie, Lou Mittens, and Cowl by Filles a Maman

So the temperatures started dropping here on Halloween day - I'm blaming all the Elsa's 'letting it go' while trick or treating!!!  But I really like the colder weather - I love snow too - don't hate me ;o)

However, colder temps mean that the kids need all those extras: hats, gloves, scarves..... they should probably start wearing socks too, huh ;op

Well, Filles a Maman is to the rescue with her three new releases: the Cowl, Beanie, and Lou Mittens for all the family.  That is right, these patterns are sized baby through Medium/Large adult - SCORE.  I'm starting with the kids, but you better believe that I am making myself a set as soon as I can! The bundle for the 3 patterns is back for a week (until november 8th midnight (EDT) on Craftsy at $8.95 for the 3 patterns here: http://www.craftsy.com/pattern/sewing/accessory/accessories-bundle/111319

Each of the patterns includes clear instructions, illustrations for the steps, sizing charts, fabric and notion requirements, printed pattern pieces (along with optional cutting charts for the large rectangular pieces), and images of the finished product.

I made all three for Mack - the mittens and cowl are a size small, and the hat is a size M - yes, her head is HUGE!!!!  The hat is the only element that gave me a bit of a head scratch, we can possibly blame candy consumption and costume making exhaustion, but my brain just did not want to comprehend the twisting construction - so, I slept on it.  In the morning, it all clicked into place and it whipped up in no time at all.  Seriously, you could easily complete a set in an hour!

I used fleece for this set.  I am going to make more gloves with a sherpa lining and maybe thinsulate in-between the layers for added warmth - gotta keep those fingers warm!!!!

These are perfect for your kiddos for the cold months ahead, and would also make wonderful gifts for teachers, friends, and family!
