Lakehouse Swimsuit by Cole's Creations

Paige is sharing her review of the new Lakehouse Swimsuit by Cole's Creations today.  This adorable suit is a classic style that works well as a swimsuit and leotard.  Perfect for combining different swim fabrics and left over scraps.  There is also a doll pattern available, so your daughter will be thrilled that she and her favorite doll can go together to the pool in style.

Use the special discount code on her full priced swim patterns (including the doll swim patterns, sold separately) - it's PRSWIM40 for etsy and already marked down 40% on Craftsy!!!  The All for one is also on clearance (the the 40% off wont work, but it is a great deal!!!)

Today, I am here to review the Lakehouse Swimsuit by Cole’s Creations.  My girls spend tons of time in the pool and this suit is both practical and perfect for lots of swimming.  As you can see, it has a nice fit and there’s also a dolly version that can be purchased separately. My daughter is beyond excited whenever I make the matching version for her doll.  Yep, I’m the best mom ever whenever that happens and who wouldn’t like hearing those words.

I would suggest this pattern for all levels of sewers.  If you’re a beginner or never made a suit, Nicole provides tips for working with swimsuit fabric and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The color photos allow you to check your steps along the way.  When I finished sewing, I thought….that went together pretty fast.  Thank goodness because my girls have fabric picked out and want MORE.  I have a feeling that I’m going to be making quite a few of these. This style of suit works well for girls with all different body types and there is a section on how to adjust the pattern for a good fit. In the end, you end up with a cute, comfortable, and durable swimsuit.

Printable pdf pages are included for sizes 6 months to size 16. With the large size range, this pattern can be used for many many years.  I love the no trim pages and how you just tape them together without any need for cutting.  This pattern can also be used to make a leotard for dancing or gymnastics.  Lots of tester photos are included for inspiration.  I think anyone looking to make a swimsuit or leotard will be pleased with this pattern.

Happy Sewing!
