The Belle Rococo pattern by Foo Foo Threads:
/Heyya! I’m Teronia and I am so pleased to be on the Pattern Revolution Blog today. I’m showing off my latest make, the Foo Foo Threads Belle Rococo French Princess pattern. I’m loving this pattern because it’s oh so girly, has a beautiful enclosed seam finish and is super customizable. There are two dress options and top option included in the instructions. Since the weather has been crazy around here (Florida) I went rogue and decided to make a high low peplum top(instructions not included). All I did was completely omit the underskirt and ruffles. I didn’t want the top to be too plain without the ruffles so I added some soft tulle cut a little longer than the original pattern piece. When picking my fabric I realized that I haven’t made my 7 year old daughter anything for Valentine’s day since she was like one or two years old; I really wanted to rectify that. Looking through my stash, I found some Riley Blake Lost and Found prints from My Little Lady and Gentleman of which I have only ever used one. I figured 4 1/2 years was long enough to have hoarded it. I only have two yards of this particular color way, but it was plenty to make a one of a kind top for my girl.
My plan was to make ruffle leggings to match, but I figured pairing it with some skinny jeans and boots would take us through the rest of the weather changes. Plus, I think my daughter looks tres chic and “hip” (do people still say that?) at the same time. Before the shoot she was practicing bows in the mirror so, I’m thinking she agrees. If you have a girly girl I’d say this pattern is a must. If you have a not-so-girly girl, I’d say the pattern is adaptable enough to still get some lightly girly use out of it.
